Thoughts I have had this week:

"Is it neglectful to leave my 2 year old in the car with the doors locked?"
"I need a child leash"

I have realized that chasing Marley down the street mid contraction REALLY hurts.  It seriously should not be possible.

Don't worry, Marley is still alive and happy.  Life is a little stressful though when you are very pregnant, remodeling, moving, have a 2 year old, and don't have a husband.  Ok, I DO have a husband.  I concluded today that it would be nice if just at least for this week he only worked 40, 50, 60, or even 70 hrs. a week.

What started out as a "little remodeling" has turned into a full-on remodel including an addition, knocking down walls, tearing everything out.  Jared asked the other day if there was anything about the original house we purchased that I liked "as is". :)   So, if I have baby boy Ogao early and have not prepared enough to give him a name, stuff to wear other than diapers (I did buy some of those the other day!), or something to sleep on other than pink sheets, I think I have a pretty darn good excuse.  I think he will survive and realize that he really was wanted and loved! :)

  1. oh I feel for you. I can't believe you're doing all this at the end of your pregnancy. I think you're amazing! But you better slow down or he'll be here earlier :) j/k It's amazing how everything falls into place and even if everything isn't "perfect" he'll know how very loved he is! we're in utah for a month but will be back in April. we'd love to see you guys sometime!

  2. I think it is ok to leave you kids in the car. Chase fell asleep so I locked the car and left Lucy there to watch him. I quickly ran in the store. Other people have since told me that is bad, I guess I shouldn't leave them again. Good Luck, I can't imagine how hard it must be to have Jared gone all the time.

  3. What a busy time for you! I hope you are destressing a bit from time to time:) Can't wait to see your little guy!

  4. Ya, I am guilty of the locking my child in the car thing. As a rule, only if I am within eye shot of my car at all times.
I thought you were in an apartment...do you have a house? You are still in AZ, right?
I think you are ambitious and crazy at the same time.

  5. Cut yourself some slack. You're doing the job of two parents, two homeowners, and an oven. Your baby boy Ogao will never remember wearing a pink sleeper, or sleeping in pink sheets, unless you tell him or photograph it. And in the end if you need to, just look at that picture of Chad in your swimming suit, and all will feel better ;)

  6. ugh. just reading that made me tired and made my heart hurt for you.

  7. Yeah...I felt a bit of a panic attack coming on just reading..bleh. YOU WILL get through it! Not that any words like that help at a time like this. Good luck Heidi. Heart hugs and prayers for you!

  8. I can say this...being a parent stinks while being prego! Some days I wish I could just stay in bed, but then I remember I have two other kids! This will pass.

Do you think you will go early? Hopefully he will hang in there for some more weeks.

  9. I have plenty of baby boy clothes I keep meaning to bring over to you. I'll bring them to the new house in a few days or so, I even have extra boy sheets, etc. We could even hit up the thrift stores along 7th for some baby boy bedding. We'll make sure he's all taken care of. Also, I am around all weekend with nothing going on. Please let me watch Marley or come help pack on Saturday, or do something to help out. Remember this to shall pass and make a new born seem like a breeze. You have had a few of the most chaotic months of your life - soon enough a beautiful baby boy & house to show for it! YOU ARE AMAZING keep reminding yourself of that.
