Obsessions

I don't have a baby anymore.  Jake's little attitude is shining through lately and has made me even more aware that he is no longer an infant.  He talks back to me when I ask him to do something like "get down" or "don't climb up there".

Jake's current obsessions:  our broken lawn mower, Marley's pink tent, Marley's pink guitar, my frying pan and spatula, and, of course, his bear.

This picture was not posed. :)

Marley's Obsessions:   her baby and puppy. No surprise there since she is so affectionate and motherly.  In fact, I feel like she and Jake are in constant competition for my hugs.  She likes to tell us she loves us and talk about how we love "our chudder".  Those silly bands that she's wearing in the above picture are quickly becoming an obsession of hers.  She has worn them every day since she got them a week ago.  She likes to share them for short periods of time with us and her friends.

My New Obsession:   Yoga.  I've been doing it for a couple of months now and love it.  I am not very flexible, so it's been good for me.  I have been the brunt of a few jokes in my class because I am less flexible than the old men that attend, but I'm okay with that.

Jared's obsessions:  I don't think he's home long enough to be obsessed with anything besides operating, but he's talked about wanting to start working-out again.  Maybe in couple of years when he's finished with residency. :)

  1. Oh, I love Yoga too, but I don't get to practice it anymore. There aren't any yoga classes here that offer child care too.

  2. I'm the most inflexible person in my yoga class too. The old men and old ladies kick my butt. But I keep telling myself it's my practice and maybe when I'm their age I'll be able to touch my toes. :)
