The Match - Off to Arizona!
Last Thursday was "Match Day" for all 4th year medical students across the country. All of the students from MCW met at the school with their friends and family to find out where they would be spending the next 1-7 years (depending on the program). 
I didn't realize how exciting it would be. We showed up a bit late (it seems we're always late now that we have a baby) and the auditorium was packed. As the dean called names one by one and the students opened their letters, we would hear clapping, shouts of excitement, and sometimes see tears. Not everyone gets into a residency that they want. There were many mixed emotions that day. It was so fun to be together with nearly 200 of Jared's classmates to celebrate the next step.
Jared matched into a 1 year program at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix Arizona for general surgery. Needless to say, I am SO excited to be heading off to Arizona. We will miss all of the good friends we have made here in Milwaukee, but we are excited to be in warm weather and closer to family.

Arizona! That is so exciting! I bet Lindsay will be so excited too. It will be so fun for you guys to be so much closer. You will need to make plans for a trip over to California once you get settled. :)
