Easter Week Activities
Jake and Marley really enjoy creating and drawing lately. It seems that's all they both want to do.
Last weekend, when I thought they were both quietly drawing at their table, Jake tested the black sharpie on my couch.
He's entered this phase of....craziness. Jumping off furniture, climbing everything.
Yesterday, after I put Jake and Marley down for a nap I heard a noise. I walked into Jake's room just as he was walking out. I'm not sure whether to convert his crib into a toddler bed or purchase one of those netting tents to lock him in.

Coloring Easter eggs for the first time.
Jake picked every ball off the sticker page to put on his Easter egg.
Marley added additional paint.
For Family Home Evening that night we talked about Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. We kept it super simple. I don't know how good of job we did explaining those big topics to a 4 year old.
My electric piano has a feature with programmed songs. You play any key and it will play the song.
Marley has been quite impressed with her own piano skills after only 1 lessons from me.
So, when we started Family Home Evening and suggested we sing a song together, she jumped up to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". We sang along. She was so proud. :)
I love your pictures. Jake is starting to look more and more like Jared. Marley gets prettier and prettier every day, what a hard life that must be. :) Happy Easter Ogaos!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie. A lot of people have been saying that about Jake lately. He definitely has some of his personality traits. :)
