Lapse in Judgement

I had a scary experience with this kid last week.

I had a brief lapse in judgement and gave him a piece of hard candy that was not a good size for toddlers.  

Then he threw a tantrum with the candy in his mouth.

Then he choked.

Then he stopped screaming...and breathing.

Then he started gurgling.

Then I panicked & called 911.

Then he finally got the candy down.

Then I hugged him and sobbed for about an hour.
