Never Enough Time
Marley: Is daddy here?
Me: Yes
Marley: Is he going in to the hospital?
Me: Not today.
Marley: Doesn't he have to help the girl get better that got hit by the bus?
Me: She's already better.
Marley: He is going to be home forever!!! (lots of giggles)
So cute, but kinda sad. Marley misses Jared a lot and asks why he has to work so much. Lately, I've been trying to help her see that her daddy is helping people that need him. A few weeks ago when Jared was working trauma a girl got hit by a bus while riding her bike. I told Marley about it that day because she was pretty sad she hadn't see her dad for a couple of days. Who knows if it helps or not, but she asks a lot about what Jared does at work now.
That's sweet. Sat by them at church today. Marley offered me to hold the end of her extended slinky and then let go so it snapped. She thought that was a lot of fun!!
