A Day in the Life of Mom
Sometimes I think, "Why can't I just pick-out one shirt and wear it for the entire day?"
Increasing our family by one, and a little one at that, literally doubled the amount of laundry I do. Jared keeps laundry pretty simple: underwear and scrubs. The hospital even washes his scrubs for him. So my question is, "Why do I have so much laundry for the 2 of us?"
Marley's "sign" for "I'm all done" is hitting the spoon as I am coming towards her. I have never forced fed her, so why does she hit the spoon?
I usually strip her down to her diaper for meal time. I have been contemplating stripping myself down as well. Maybe there is just much easier way of doing all of this. I'm still a novice.
Any advice?
No help here, except maybe an adult size bib??? :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, is that Rebel I see in the first pic? :D
sorry Hydes...get used to the laundry, it only gets so much worse!!! Just ask your mama.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pig tails. There is just something about being able to put pig tails in your girls hair.
Hey, I was thinking that the next time you come out...just maybe I could con you into taking my family's picture. You are getting to be a real pro behind that camera! What do ya think?
ReplyDeleteTe-he.....Marley won again!
ReplyDeleteYou could try feeding her in the tub that way you are ready to wash off after your done. Then you wouldn't have to worry about your clothes getting dirty j/k . I love your blog.
ReplyDeleteMeghan - it IS a Rebel! :) Now I just need to learn how to use it.
ReplyDeleteSus- I don't know what pictures you're looking at but I am no pro. I've actually felt a bit guilty that I got a nice camera and don't even know how to use it very well. BUT, I would be happy to take your picture as long as you're not expecting magic :)
A plastic shield for you as you approach Marley, J/K! The laundry seems to never get smaller.
ReplyDeleteThat middle picture of Marley SO looks like Jared to me. And I LOVE the bows! I need you to come down and do Ava's hair - I have no clue what to do with it most of the time!
ReplyDeleteI STILL take Ava's shirt off during meals, even though she's a fairly good eater. It just saves time in the laundry room with me and a stain stick. And as for myself - unless I am going somewhere - I wear my Hanes plain white v-neck shirts around the house. SO comfortable, withstands anything that is chucked on it, drooled on it or spit up on it with a little bleach!
Is the "Rebel" the kind of camera you have. I've so been meaning to ask you what kind you have because your pictures are so good... maybe it's just because the "subjects" are so good looking! I really am wanting to get into photography... along with the many other things I want to get into... ahh... a time and a season for everything, right?! :)
I love checking in on ya'll!!
That is hilarious! I am still laughing. The joys of parenting!!
ReplyDeleteYou could use a man's button up shirt over your regular clothing, like in Kindegarten you wore your dad's shirt. A big kitchen apron.
ReplyDeleteI always pick the kid up out of the high chair, flip her around so she is not facing me, hold her at arms length until we get to the sink.
